Yoga Nidra means “yogic sleep.” It is a state of profound stillness and peace in which the body is in
the deepest state of relaxation, yet the mind is awake. Practitioners are led through a series of techniques using body, breath, and awareness, resulting in deep physical relaxation, subtler mental states, and eventual stilling of the mind. Old reactive patterns and stresses are effortlessly dissolved, freeing the practitioner to function in life with greater clarity and inner joy

Students will learn the simple, graceful form of Wu Style Tai Chi. This form has been characterized as sophisticated and precise, yet natural and easy-to-learn. The movements in this form are soft and often described as a moving mental massage. This form of ten movements is traditionally practiced for its health benefits, which includes better balance, flexibility, and calmness. One student described practicing the Wu form as "effortlessly floating in air, like smoke rising from an extinguished candle."
John will guide students through tai chi principles, mastering the basic movements, and then focus on the internal work which includes gathering, storing, and circulation of energy (Qi) throughout the body. Suitable for all levels, including beginners.
